Free framesets for you to use on your sites?

Many people consider frames to be a nuisance, but they are a useful tool if your site navigation can use them effectively. They are still the most popular methods of presentation used on the net, however they have some disadvantages that you should consider when planning your site.

The major disadvantages are

• Some search engines cannot index framed sites properly(I'll show you how to get around this on the next page).
• Some older browsers cannot display them, although all the modern visual browsers do.
• If someone bookmarks a page inside the frame, only the index page is actually bookmarked
• They are a nuisance when it comes to printing out a page on older browsers

Now, instead of going on about how to do it line by line, we've done the dirty work for you. Here are a free set of 'framesets templates' to download. Each of the frames templates is commented, in that it tells you what is happening and where to put your own pages! Each set includes the coloured pages which show you exactly what appears and where. Very simple.
